You start each run with one character and a basic weapon. Enemies come in waves that get harder over time, and beating them drops XP crystals you use to level up. When you level up, you pick from a set of upgrade cards like new weapons, stat boosts, or elemental effects. The game has five weapon types, boss fights, and persistent profiles that save your progress between sessions.
